Glenn C. Campbell, M.D.

Dr. Glenn C. Campbell | WilliamsburgDr. Glenn C. Campbell completed his undergraduate studies at The College of William and Mary in Virginia, earning a B.S. in Chemistry with high honors. He completed his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, and his internship and ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Campbell is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine.

Included in his many honors, Dr. Campbell is a Diplomate, American Board of Ophthalmology and Fellow, American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Virginia Society of Ophthalmology, Medical Society of Virginia, and the Society of Military Ophthalmologists.

He is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist with special expertise in laser vision correction, cataract surgery, and laser surgery for glaucoma.

Dr. Campbell is married with one child. He enjoys collecting antiques and sailing.

 

Juan A. Astruc, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Juan A. Astruc |  WilliamsburgDr. Juan A. Astruc received his under graduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Astruc's postgraduate training includes a residency in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia and a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Astruc is active in a variety of clinical research and has coauthored many publications and presentations.

Mark K. Meadows, O.D.

Dr. Mark K. Meadows |  WilliamsburgDr. Mark Meadows, a native of Williamsburg, received his undergraduate degree in biology from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and graduated Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry. Following graduation, Dr. Meadows enrolled in the Family Practice Optometry Residency at West Tennessee Eye. During his residency, Mark managed a varied group of patients to gain expertise in the diagnosis and management of a vast array of ocular and systemic disease conditions.

Dr. Meadows is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Contact Lens Society, and the Lions Club. Additionally, Dr. Meadows has lectured on numerous advanced optometric procedures and served as an Ellerbrock Instructor at the American Academy of Optometry.

Gregory M. Schultz, O.D.

Gregory M Schultz | WilliamsburgDr. Schultz has fifteen years of experience in consultative eyecare and is considered to be one of the leading experts and consultants in ocular disease. He is a graduate of Ursinus College, Collegeville PA where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended The Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, PA where he received a second Bachelors of Science degree in Vision Sciences. He went on to graduate Cum Laude while earning his Doctorate of Optometry also from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He served his residency in Ocular Diseases and Surgical Co-management at OMNI Eye Services of New Jersey which is accredited through the State University of New York.

Dr. Schultz has received many academic honors including Beta Sigma Kappa, 1993, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and the Dr. Leslie Mintz Scholarship in 1992, 1993. His extensive list of achievements include a Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry, Ocular Disease Section, as well as Clinical adjunct faculty instructor in Ocular Diseases for the University of Waterloo, College of Optometry, Ontario Canada, University of Alabama, Birmingham College of Optometry, Berkley College of Optometry in Berkeley, California, SUNY College of Optometry, New York, New York, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia PA, Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee and the University of Houston.

Dr. Schultz was the Director of the Ocular Disease Residency Program and student education programs at Southern Eye Associates in Memphis ,TN from 2000-2004. He is published and has nearly 100 lectures to his credit on topics relating to ocular disease and surgical management.

Jeffrey C. Michaels, O.D.

Dr. Jeffrey C. Michaels | WilliamsburgDr. Jeffrey Michaels is an optometrist specializing in vision rehabilitation for visually impaired patients. He received his training at the Johns Hopkins University Wilmer Eye Institute and has been the Director of Low Vision Services at Newport NewsEye & Ear Health Alliance (formerly Newport NewsEye & Ear Hospital) since 1999.

Dr. Michaels has lectured internationally for the American Academy of Optometry on low vision rehabilitation, age-related macular degeneration, intraocular tumors, and driving with low vision. He is a Clinical Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Low Vision Examiner for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
