TECHNOLAS PERFECT VISION
Technolas Perfect Vision brings the latest innovations in femtosecond and excimer laser technologies. Current innovations focus on laser assisted cataract surgery (also known as "no-stitch" bladeless cataract surgery) and the correction of presbyopia.
LENSX LASER
The LenSx® Laser signifies a bold leap forward in cataract surgery, and is now being used in Bladeless Laser Cataract removal, also known as Blade-FREE Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery. As the first femtosecond laser cleared for use in cataract surgery, it brings image-guided computer precision to refractive cataract surgeons. The most advanced development in cataract surgery, the LenSx® Laser Refractive Cataract Surgery procedure offers a new level of precision and reproducibility in eye surgery. The additional steps performed by the LenSx® Laser to align the capsular and corneal incisions in three dimensions are performed to optimize alignment of capsulotomy and corneal incisions. This allows for greater accuracy during eye surgery, and less discomfort and faster healing for the cataract patient post-op.
LENSAR LASER
The LensAR Laser System is currently being designed to deliver laser capsulotomies, lens fragmentation, precise limbal relaxing incisions (also known as LRI) and unique clear corneal incisions with laser precision-- all in one eye surgery procedure. No longer will it take multiple procedures to achieve the complete results for the cataract surgery patient.
